Leeds United have enquired about attacking midfielder Emiliano Buendia but Norwich City want at least £25m for the Argentine. 

Leeds have also asked about Bruges winger Emmanuel Dennis and made an offer for Jonathan David at Gent though he is understood to prefer Lille. 

Brentford's in-demand striker Ollie Watkins has also been discussed.

Leeds could yet face competition from Tottenham for Wigan Athletic midfield prospect Sean McGurk.

The Elland Road club have already agreed a £1million fee with cash-strapped Wigan for striker Joe Gelhardt, 18, which they hope to finalise this week and will compete with Tottenham for his talented clubmate McGurk. 

The 17-year-old Liverpool fan has been tipped for the top by Wigan staff after starring in their FA Youth Cup run and Tottenham scouts have made favourable reports.
